Statement

I create extended, fixed-frame videos, black-and-white images with either dissolving or soft tonal structures made through long exposure, and quiet, focused portraits as a practice of attention. I find it difficult to remain in the present, so these works are attempts to allow a kind of density to emerge within imagination and reality. Through sustained attention, the here and now begins to slip out of its position, and a more essential layer of reality becomes visible to me.
